How Hyundai Trains and Certifies Our Technicians
Hyundai certification isn't a one-time course. Our technicians complete Hyundai's factory training program, which combines online coursework with hands-on, instructor-led training. They move up through Hyundai's certification levels as they master more advanced systems. Every new model, engine, and technology update means new training, so our team always stays current on Hyundai technology.
That training pays off in the service bay:
Hyundai's own diagnostic system. Our technicians use Hyundai's dealer-level diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint problems accurately.
Factory repair procedures. Authorized dealers are the first to get Hyundai's official repair procedures, technical service bulletins, and software updates.
Genuine Hyundai parts. Every repair uses parts engineered for your specific model and is backed by Hyundai's parts warranty.
Trained for Hyundai's Hybrid and IONIQ EV Lineup
Electric vehicles require specialized training and equipment that many independent shops don't have. Our technicians are trained to work safely on Hyundai's high-voltage hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and IONIQ electric systems, from battery diagnostics to software updates. You can learn more about Hyundai EV models at our EV Hub.
Put Our Technicians to Work on Your Hyundai
Our team handles everything from oil changes, brakes, and batteries to engine and electrical diagnostics, warranty repairs, and safety recalls.

Hyundai Technician FAQs
A Hyundai-certified technician has completed Hyundai's factory training and certification, works on Hyundais every day, and has access to Hyundai's dealer diagnostic tools, repair procedures, and software updates. A general mechanic works on many brands and usually relies on generic equipment and aftermarket information.
Hyundai technicians are trained through Hyundai's factory training program, which combines online courses with hands-on, instructor-led sessions. As they build skills, technicians advance through Hyundai's certification levels. Training continues as new models and technologies are released, so our team stays current on the latest Hyundais, including IONIQ electric vehicles.
We use Hyundai's dealer-level diagnostic system, which is the equipment Hyundai designed for its own vehicles. It reads manufacturer-specific codes and data that generic scan tools can miss, and it lets us install Hyundai software updates.
Your service advisor is your main point of contact. They will write up your visit, pass your concerns to the technician, explain what your vehicle needs and what it will cost before any work begins, and keep you updated until pickup. Our technicians do the hands-on diagnosis and repair behind the scenes.
The more detail, the better. Tell your service advisor when the problem happens (cold starts, highway speeds, turning, braking), what you hear or feel, any warning lights on the dashboard, and any recent repairs. A clear description helps us diagnose the issue faster, saving you time.
Modern Hyundais rely on computer modules to run the engine, transmission, safety systems, and infotainment. Hyundai releases software updates to fix known issues, improve performance, and sometimes as part of a recall or service campaign. Our technicians can check your vehicle for available updates during a service visit.
Hyundai SmartSense features like forward collision avoidance and lane keeping rely on cameras and radar sensors. After a windshield replacement, collision repair, or alignment work, those sensors may need to be recalibrated to Hyundai's specifications to work correctly. Ask our service team whether your vehicle needs calibration after any of these repairs.
