The N-Line will be joining the Sonata range, and under the hood, driving enthusiasts should enjoy the high-performance engine. In 2021, you can ride higher off the ground as the SEL Plus trims gains new standard 19-inch alloy wheels. They not only lift the Sonata a tad higher, but they also look great. The Limited trim was not to be left behind, as it also gains a new standard power-adjustable front passenger's seat. The other addition will be on the Sonata's safety suite. From the SEL trim upwards, a safe exit alert will be available on the safety features list. This feature alerts you if there is an oncoming vehicle and when it is safe to exit the car.

Performance and Efficiency

The new Hyundai Sonata comes with many engine options in 2021. The wide range of engines provided ensures that there is something for everyone. The four engines provided will be two excellent daily drivers, a hybrid and a performance-oriented option. The first engine offered is a 2.5L inline-4 capable of 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. It will be offered with an 8-speed automatic gearbox with standard FWD configuration. It should be a perfect daily driver for commuters in Fairview with a rating of 28/38 mpg from the EPA. The second engine, also a daily driver, will be a quicker 1.6L turbocharged inline-4 with 180 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. Although it has fewer ponies than the base engine, it accelerates much faster because of its higher torque value. It will have the same configuration and gearbox as the base but has a slightly lesser economy rating of 27/37 mpg. The third option for drivers in Edinboro will be the Sonata Hybrid which pairs an electric motor with a 2.0L inline-4 engine. The total output from this setup is 192 hp, and the hybrid gets a rating of 50/54 mpg. Finally, the last option is the high-performing 2.5L turbocharged inline-4 making 290 hp and 311 lb-ft. of torque. It will be powering the new N-Line trim and will be offered with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic unit. It is rated at 23/33 mpg, which makes it a good daily driver.
